On 18 September 2025, Dr. Ian Parenteau, Secretary of the International Association of Military Academies (IAMA), accompanied by Lieutenant-Colonel Éric Ouellet, Deputy Commandant of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, visited the Air Force Academy of Indonesia (AAU) in Yogyakarta. The purpose of the visit was to explore the possibility of establishing cadet mobility programs.
AAU trains Officer Cadets for the Indonesian Air Force. The academic program spans three years and is primarily technical in nature, with some courses focused on management. A total of approximately 500 cadets are enrolled at AAU.
During the visit, they met with:
- Air Vice Marshal Donald Kasenda
- First Air Marshal Bonang Bayuaji, Deputy Governor of AAU
- Second Lieutenant Tri Nugroho (interpreter and graduate of the United States Air Force Academy)
