On 15 September 2025, Dr. Ian Parenteau, Secretary of the International Association of Military Academies (IAMA), accompanied by Dr. Danic Parenteau, Interim Academic Director of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, visited the Korea Military Academy (KMA) in Seoul. Since 2018, RMC Saint-Jean has maintained a strong relationship with KMA, and Naval and Officer Cadets from RMC Saint-Jean have consistently appreciated their experiences during exchanges at KMA.
During the visit, they met with:
- Lieutenant-General Kim Jeong Soo, Superintendent
- Dr. Colonel Insoo Kim, Director of the International Office
- Dr. Colonel Dong-Ha Seo, Professor of English
- Dr. Major Sangsu Kim, Professor of Philosophy
- Dr. Lieutenant-Colonel Kangho Lee, Professor of French (met during dinner on 14 September 2025)
KMA provides military, academic, and athletic education to approximately 500 Army Officer Cadets. Cadets pursue programs in science, engineering, or social sciences, leading to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree.
This visit was a courtesy call, during which discussions focused on the ongoing Cadet Exchange Program (CEP) and preparations for the next edition of the International Symposium of Military Academies (ISOMA), scheduled to be hosted by KMA in 2027.
